Quote from mcintyrej :I'd need to use Soft TH?

Could I not just set it up normally with 2 monitors and then use the "Rotate View" option? Then just fine tune it so that its right?

Doesn't work like that unfortunately. The perspective will get distorted so much it will be unplayable. Search for "corrected fov for dualscreen"

Quote from Shotglass :
apparently it does work as a proxydll too so it should work in combination with softth

Yeah, should.. Has this actually worked for anyone? Report in!

Quote from Jakg :Just thought i'd let you know that doesn't work as LFS won't hook into this add-on at all.

Take any existing d3d8.dll's you have and rename them to something (ie "d3d8_{InsertNameOfAppHere}.dll"), then, go to the config file and put:

[PROXY]
EnableProxyLibrary=1
InitProxyFunctions=1
ProxyLibrary=d3d8_{InsertNameOfAppHere}.dll

Make sure that the Bloom DLL has the right name ("d3d8.dll").

This should work better than the method above - however when using SoftTH I couldn't get it to work using your method, using my method I get "SoftTH" in the corner, and the Bloom notice at the top but then LFS never seems to load.

I tried this (and a lot of other settings), but could not get it to work with the dualscreen d3d8.dll. Mostly just a white screen and crashes..

Quote from Bramski :
I also noticed someone say that this interferes with other addons because of the modified dx8.dll, well theres a workaround for that as you can specify proxy libraries, it's explained in the readme

Thanks for the info! Now let's tweak the settings to more realistic level and post results here.

Quote from tristancliffe :Good job real life doesn't look like that! And I bet it looks even worse in motion! Never seem my white race suit arms flare up in real life...

You can tone it down you know.. But if you must flame, go ahead

It works, thank you OP!

I like the fact that I can edit the settings through the .ini -file. AA works if I enable it from driver side and turn it off on LFS. So LFS _can_ look like NFS but one can make the effect more subtle.

Too bad the .dll replaces the custom .dll by SoulHunta.. http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=31026

These things are nice to think about and all, but please be careful whose god (or lack of it) you choose to believe in.

I remember from my quakeworld days that humans can notice the difference in fps up to 100 at least. That 24 fps thing is incorrect I'm afraid. Games != films.

On topic: I welcome all graphical improvements even though my pc struggles at every race start.
